Intercultural exchanges for greater solidarity
Village Pilote promotes international solidarity as a viable vector for peaceful coexistence. We run a number of initiatives to exchange and share best practice between the countries where we operate.
This international solidarity is coordinated by our offices and support committees in Europe (France, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Belgium) and our field team in Senegal.

Volunteer branches are being set up to take our case to Europe.

Solidarity Caravans
Every year, in the spring and autumn, a team of Senegalese facilitators travels around our branches in Europe to meet our volunteers and run awareness-raising events (talks, rice bowls, dinners, screenings, etc.).

Volunteering for International Solidarity and Civic Services
In Senegal, Village Pilote regularly welcomes Volunteers for International Solidarity (VSI) and civic services who form an integral part of its team.
Young people and members of Village Pilote also have the opportunity to carry out missions within associations in France.
Stays and days of solidarity
We regularly welcome our European partners for solidarity days or even stays at the Lac Rose Pilot Village.
These visits are an opportunity to strengthen links with our local teams, take action on the ground and promote international solidarity.

The "France Land of Games" project
To enable young people to be sent to the 2024 Olympics, thanks to the support of the French Embassy in Senegal, so that they can take part in organising them.
Reciprocal hosting schemes
Village Pilote welcomes French volunteers to Senegal and also wishes to support young Senegalese people in their plans to leave for France (visa applications, help with accommodation, asylum applications, etc.).
Developing educational tools for ECSI
Citizen Education for International Solidarity is one of Village Pilote’s missions and we want to produce educational tools to enhance our actions.
